STUDENTS INSTRUMENT LOAN SCHEME
This scheme is only available to our students who are having lessons face to face, or if they are learning online, live within 10 miles of a Centre.
NWMTC has a substantial store of the most popular portable musical instruments which the Charity students may borrow for their Trial period and beyond should they continue. We do not loan drum kits, and we loan basic keyboards for beginner piano students.
The general purpose of the Scheme is to enable students to try an instrument before purchasing one for themselves. There is also the added advantage that a young student can upgrade to larger instruments as they grow.
We try to make sure all our loan instruments are issued with carry bags/cases, all necessary accessories, maintenance and care instructions, are clean, and, in the case of wind instruments, they are sanitised with an antibacterial solution. Electric guitars are loaned with a small, portable amp.
Simply indicate on your application form if you need an instrument for lessons and practice. We expect a weekly donation for the loan of the instrument and all details will be provided after your consultation.
Do you have an instrument that is lying around idle? Would you consider donating to NWMTC?
Donated instruments will be given a new lease of life by being refurbished, and provide our students with the opportunity to begin their lessons without having to pay the full cost of an instrument.
Donating is easy, simply complete the form below. We will be in touch as soon as possible to arrange pick up or drop off.
NB: Please DO NOT leave an instrument at our Studio Centres without first informing our Administrators as there is no way of us knowing that it is there, and it may well never reach us. Thank you.
